Hello Everyone;

I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable 4th of July; the weather was just awesome!

This Thursday night we will be discussing "The Elephant Complex", about how some of us are still trapped by our minds with our past experience being ingrained us in the futility of freedom. In other words, even though our lives have changed drastically because of our WLS, we still find ourselves seeing and believing that we are morbidly obese and cannot achieve success.

I am hoping that you will be able to come and share your own struggles/experiences/tips for dealing with this issue.

I will have Ferrets IPS liquid iron protein succinylate and Ferretts ferrous fumarate iron pill (106mg elemental iron)supplement for sampling.  I also have single serving packets of orange flavored Whey protein isolate shakes (27g of protein).

And of course, we will have the free lending library, penny-a-pound and door prize drawings. Hope to see all of you there!

I've got some great guest speakers lined up for the meetings on Aug 13th and Sept 11th; a PhD (Chris Rummer-Copeland from Pacific Nutrition and Wellness ) who will speak on "The Disease to Please" and why some of cannot tell people no, or feel horribly guilty if we do,  and a chemical dependency counselor (Paul Weatherly from Bellevue Community College) who will share about the manifestation of addiction, addictive personalities and post-op cross-addictions.

AND Don't forget about Obesity Help's event happening on Aug 14 & 15 in Bellevue. Use the code Mobeck09 to register and our group will be eligible for a gift card from American Express so we can fill our door prize box and purchase more lending library books.
